Paradise close to the city!

Why not spend an exciting and adventurous day discovering Prangli Island together with friends or colleagues? Located on the eastern edge of Tallinn Bay, Prangli is a truly unique destination – known for its authentic fishing villages, untouched nature, rich history, and welcoming local culture. Whether you're exploring coastal trails, enjoying fresh sea air, or discovering the island’s hidden Soviet-era relics, Prangli offers a memorable experience just a short boat ride away from the capital!
The picturesque eastern and southern shores of Prangli Island offer beautiful sandy beaches and wild coastal rose bushes. A large part of the island is covered with dense forest, where visitors can pick fresh blueberries in July and enjoy cowberries and mushrooms in August and September. Along the shoreline, you’ll find impressive glacial boulders – silent witnesses to ancient natural forces. The entire island is part of a protected nature reserve, preserving its diverse flora and fauna.
Unlike some of its neighboring islands, Prangli has preserved a more peaceful atmosphere, but traces of its strategic past are still visible. During Soviet times, the island hosted several military facilities, including coastal defense structures and communication posts. While Prangli was never as heavily militarized as Naissaar, remnants of the Soviet presence – from bunkers to observation towers – can still be discovered today, offering a fascinating contrast to the island’s traditional fishing culture and natural beauty.
